Based on what changes in behavior or posturing? From what I can tell, their actions and posturings in Crimea, Syria, the (rest of the) middle east, east asia, and the UN haven't changed at all. Like... outside of the US media interpretation of how seriously they take us, point to stuff Russia wouldn't have dared to do under previous administrations that they're doing under Trump. We've repeatedly missile striked bases supplied by the Russian government in Syria and they didn't do shit about it.

But at the very least, we bombed the shit out of their bases in Syria, twice, and they rolled over both times. If you want to show they have less respect than before, you need to actually show that they are doing things that wouldn't have in the past. This isn't rocket science. This is also true for this topic. Obama said Putin had done extraordinary work... George Bush called him trustworthy. Bill was the last president to refuse to say anything positive about him. On the flip side, Putin literally called Obama an idiot. None of this is new.

I'm not even trying to argue they respect us. All I'm trying to argue is that their stance on the US hasn't changed in a long time, and people refuse to even concede that because it makes Trump look a little less bad. You've been able to show nothing, and all shock can do is repeat his "we should be tougher" mantra which STILL had nothing to do with this topic.

b) catch them, blame their mother, call the cops liars, and say the kid probably maybe didnt do it at all or if they did it isnt important but they didnt but they did but smart people think they didnt

They literally said it was "an act of aggression against a sovereign country violating the norms of international law under a trumped-up pretext", cancelled our MoU with them, and called an emergency session of the UN security council. They said it put us on the cusp of war and said it could have "extremely serious" consequences... and then they did nothing.
