This woman just cant shut her mouth, can she? Its not like they would ever consider her crazy ass for a presidential run, after those comments she made about hedge funds (aka major financial backers).

Legalize drugs. All of them.
Instantly, a huge portion of the criminal justice load just evaporates, and abuse and overdose deaths will not suddenly explode in scope.

Prohibition never works, and just exacerbates the problems it's meant to stop.

Eliminating all crimes is the most half assed way of dealing with a problem. We need to strengthen our borders and keep heroin and cocaine from coming in. We also need to stop the supply of fentanyl that canadas Failed pharmaceutical system (and ineffective police force) allows to pour over the border

Were someone able to walk into a walmart and walk out with a bottle of oxy, or even a vial of goddamn heroin, nobody would ever bother with fentanyl or krokodil ever again.

Ive been in favor of having one from the start. Im sure they dont want US citizens coming over, bring our ways and our opinions. Fentanyl comes from Canada because their pharmaceutical system is worse than Mexicos. You basically say what you want and leave without any trouble. They buy it there and bring it down here where people cant get it, and a lot comes through Quebec, directly into New England. Thats why fentanyl deaths are most common near Canada.

The Massachusetts senator identified some of the system's failures: disproportionate arrests of African-Americans for petty drug possession; an overloaded public defender system; and state laws that keep convicted felons from voting even after their sentences are complete.

Directly from your article. And, she's got a point. I don't like Warren. I wanted Scott Brown to stay on, but she's not wrong here.

Crack has ridiculously harsher penalties than powdered cocaine, since the Reagan era, because black preachers specifically demanded it.

Incidentally, the reason society suddenly stopped loving cocaine was from fear of black people consuming it and raping people.

We do need to stop cocaine and heroin from being legal, but weed should be legal. Would be a hit to the cartel and the government can make money for it. Colorado and Washington are great examples and other states are following.

Hahahahahahaha Yes, I just go to the pharmacy and tell them I want opioids and they just give it to me. Thats definitely how it works.

For those who actually think its easy to get controlled drugs in Canada, earlier this year I had my gallbladder removed. I was prescribed a small amount of Tylenol 3s, which I ended up having an allergic reaction to the day after which was a Friday. I was told Id have to see my surgeon after the weekend to get a different prescription approved. By Sunday I was in severe pain and vomiting and ended up in the ER where after a few hours with an IV, I got a new prescription for Tramadol, about a week and a halfs worth. After that I just used regular Tylenol until I didnt have pain anymore.

Doctors here are very wary about opioid prescriptions, especially with the Fentanyl crisis, and pharmacists cant even switch you from one type to another without your doctor approving it. Theres no telling the pharmacist what you want and just getting it, like I cant even tell them Ive got a cold and need Azithromycin even though Ive had it many times before. If its not OTC you have to see your doctor and get a prescription. You also cant just tell your doctor I want X drug and expect to get it, to be clear.

By the way, that ER visit cost me a grand total of $9 for parking, and I think the Tramadol was around $30. My surgery cost $0. How much in debt would I be if Id been American, I wonder?

First of all, you are American. Second of all, the United States would have gotten it right the first time. It seems like you had to make many trips to the ER. Mind if I ask how long you waited?

To recap your post, you just said how much of a hassle it was and how ineffective the doctors were, but, hey, it only cost $9! I almost died, but take that USA!

I should have worded that better. The couch crashes are a problem, but they just clog up the streets/trails and buy all the stuff from the store that I want.

Its the transients who come through. These idiots in my town will give homeless people $20 bills for standing there. Cops regularly make Facebook posts proving that the people make $400+/hr, pleading with us to stop buying them alcohol and drugs, because they are already fed and housed for free.

Some people think free weed = free money.
