I was kinda curious. I grew up with this franchise, but I realized that I actually haven't played quite a few of them, and the ones I have were never finished. I beat 13 when it came out, and I realized it was the first FF I'd finished since the original. Unless you count Tactics, that is.

And I haven't played one since, but I also know FF (and RPGs in general) are a big part of the B8 culture. I haven't seen nearly as much discussion about them recently as in the past, though, probably because 13's trilogy was underwhelming and 15...well, I dunno what happened with 15 since I haven't played it, but it's like we only talk about FF with respect to character battle strength any more. Have the FF players moved on, or have we all just moved on from FF?

you know, there were a few i didn't actually finish

my disc of 9 had a scratch/glitch that would cause the game to freeze during the pre-final dungeon cutscene

i lost interest somewhere in the middle of 12, and my brother ended up finishing the save file

13 was just never going to happen, and nothing before 6 really caught my eye

I got to the final dungeons of VII, VIII, and XIII, but never actually beat them for one reason or another. I didn't make it that far in I or II. Haven't played XII, XV, the MMOs, or any of the other sequels.

I also beat Tactics, TA, TA2, Crisis Core, Chocobo Tales, "beat" both Theatrhythms, and might've "beaten" Dissidia but I don't remember. Also both Bravely games because I have to remember SMFFFC.

FFXIII is almost for sure my least favorite of the lot, so it's a bit surprising that's one of the ones I ended up finishing. To be fair I guess it did start strong and most of my complaints revolve around the final third of the game or so.

My computer died when I was at the final chapter of FF13. I'm not sure whether that means my save is lost forever or if Steam has it cloud saved. But I also haven't bothered checking because I didn't like the game much.

I still plan to play FF15, but I'm waiting until the game is done.

Oh snap just realized I beat FF Crystal Chronicles on the gamecube back in the day. Not the best game ever but I loved every minute of it.

The ones I havent beat are X and XIII, which are just too boring to go through. Plus IX and XIV

XV was pretty overhated imho, but maybe I think that because Im not really a final fantasy fan, so I went into it with zero hype.

Got close to the end of 3, 9, 10, 13 (killed once in the stupid no-save-point final dungeon in 3 and quit, distracted by sidequests at the end of 9 and 10, and got really annoyed when I realized I forgot to scan one enemy in an early chapter of 13 when I was in like chapter 12)

I've never gotten past the first disk of 7 despite starting the game like four or five times (partially because I had scratched disks)

Man I thought I was the only one who played FF and didn't beat any of them. Most of my FF experience is back when I LIKED super long RPGs but never had the attention span to FINISH them. Now I have the attention span but not the time to beat more than like two games a year lol. I feel like I maybe beat FFTA at least but can't remember anything about the ending.

I have beaten one game. Final Fantasy Fables Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon. Its the only FF game I love and don't get bored playing. I am going to make myself finish FF 1 and 3. This isn't one of my favorite franchises.

Newsflash: It's also out on PC. Also, it's not about "affording," it's about them being trash and not worth your money, much less time (Switch is an exception if you like Nintendo games).
