I've only ever taken transit. I lived with a forty minutes commute for awhile but I didn't like it. Then they expanded the transit rail line to near my house and now my commute is twenty minutes, which is great.
I also briefly worked at a place where bus times going home made the trip an hour and a half. I only worked there two weeks but it almost killed me. So I guess the answer is probably 30-40 minutes. --- **R.O.B.A.Z.O.I.D** (On mobile) ... Copied to Clipboard!

Depends on how much I like the job, how bad the commute is, and what else is going on in my life at the time.

i do hybrid of car and transit and from leaving my house to arriving at my desk it's anywhere from 45 min. to 1 hour. But I use the transit time to read or mess around on my phone, so it's not just wasted time.

My longest commute ever was still under 30 minutes most days, even in 5 PM traffic. That's my limit. I've had two commutes that were under a mile, including my current one, and the relief of never having to worry about traffic - along with the ability to actually go home and kick your shoes off for lunch every day - is such a boon to my overall quality of life that it's hard to imagine giving it up.
