Increase resistance to all status ailments (100%) for 3 turns to caster
Cure stats breaks, stop, and charm to caster
Increase ATK/DEF/MAG/SPR break resistance (100%) for 3 turns to caster

How can he use it if he's already stopped or charmed?

Heh, looks like the game is trying to push me to TDH at long last. I decided since I'm skipping the dailies for the Deus Ex banner, I'd get a pull fix by just spending a couple tickets on the Nalu banner for fun. I dunno why, I just wanted to. First one got me a Vivi, and that was the one I intended to spend. Then I decided "Screw it" and threw another in. Got me a Nalu.

Just gotta pull a Cloud and one more Elfreeda, and I'm pretty much set. Just in time too, considering I'm eyeing Reberta as a fun unit to use.

I'm hearing that Victor is really, really good, and that his def scaling stuff works with Fixed Dice (until we get an early Fixed Dice nerf). Might be tempted to finish the step up for him... If I didn't need 2.

That's the issue with how they implemented 7*. Not really worth pulling for non-TMR units like Victor unless you're willing to make sure you get 2.

I am so happy I finally get to use my Light Veritas for something. She's no Olive, but she's still tearing the raid boss a new one. Just wish I could get some Mag pots to finish boosting her.

I have. Everything is either limited-time stuff that I've missed, or TMRs to farm up. I've got all the equipment that the game provides for free except for the Wolf Mask, which isn't any better than the Raven Beret. And end of the day, what I need is evasion materia, because I've pretty much capped on what equipment can give me.

If you have a Noctis that can be your 100% evade provoker as well wtih fish or any unit that has base evasion with Golem that has provoke learned. That makes it easier to get 100%

Ling and Chizuru can have 40% base evasion. With a provoke spell that means you only have to really gear for 60% evasion.

Noctis has 20% base and a built in provoke so getting 80% evasion for him is pretty easy, especially if you have access to his TMR. Two of those by itself is 50%

I do not believe I am getting through to you, so I will reiterate: I have looked at the wiki, I know what gear I have and what I can't get. I can and have built Noctis as a 100% evade, but I would like to be able to build up WoL, VoE, or Merc Ramza as alternatives so as to provide myself more flexibility for tougher trials. My stumbling block is currently materia, as those are the only options for getting non-innate evaders to 100%. I only have two Shines which I am farming up now, and because I missed certain events easy options are gone for me, so of course I am tempted to jump on any easy access to evade that I can get.

I have done my research, I know what my options are. Simply commenting my temptation to make bad decisions doesn't mean that I don't know what I'm talking about.

Believe me, now that I'm actually doing the whole macroing thing, I'm rather pissed at myself that I threw away all my Cyans. 'Course, this was back before I realized how critical evasion was as well, so double-dumb-ass on me.

Hmmm, although it is an interesting thought. If the game senses me desiring a common blue unit, what will it actually decide to throw at me?

I got lucky with shine and ended up with like 9 of them over the course of my FFBE gameplay but I only really farmed 4 of their TM. Good thing about macroing is that the more of the unit you have the faster itll get. Cause you can do 5 at a time and merge em.

FFBE Equip is weird, in order to see an optimal esper you have to build a unit using all equipment. It'll fill in the esper at level 60 with the optimal set up. You have to click the blue grid icon next to the esper to get another tab to open up showing you what it chose.

90% of the time itll will send you to get both of the ST Reflection Boosts and then appropriate stats like MAG or ATK depending on the Esper.

Only one that I've seen that DOES NOT do that is Ifrit as the optimal path for some reason is to get both + killers and then fill in ATK.

Has anyone tried fusing a unit specific moogle with a moogle container, and if so, did it work? For example, if you had a moogle container for Dark Bond and a 5% Dark Bond moogle, could that be used for fusion, or does it have to be on all moogle? Trying to figure out how that would work with 7* Dues Ex units and their specific raid moogles.

I'm not sure but I imagine a TM container works just like the unit. You can merge TM specific moogles into it as well as all moogles. You may even be able to merge same 5 star units into it not that you would.

Okay, that is kind of sad. So since I hadn't finished Nue, I tossed the Valkyrie weapon from the FFVIII event into the item world and got Mag +22%. I just finished Nue tonight, and went to see how much of a hit VoL's Mag would take by swapping the two. I instead gain 26 Mag by equipping Nue. I need to double-check what my bonus percentages are at, and we'll see if this still holds true after I finally manage to pot her for Mag.

Oh well. Time to start farming up Dragoon gear!

Fusing unit specific moogles into a container works.

K, someone help me figure out why Golem is kicking my butt. I thought this was supposed to be easy, but I'm missing something key.

Team:
100% Evasion Basch (Physical Tank)
Veritas of Earth (100% Earth resist)
MS Nichol (Buffs, MP regen, and has Bushido - Freedom for dispel)
Orlandeau (DPS 1, not really sure if I have anything better for dps)
Dark Fina, with or without swimsuit (Friend unit, DPS 2)

Turn 1:
Basch physical cover
VoE earthen ward
Nichol buffs
DPS attack

Turn 2:
Almost a repeat of Turn 1 really, with tanks doing some different stuff.

Turn 3:
Repeat again.

Golem's Turn 3 kills Orlandeau, Nichol, and the friend unit every single time. Something's getting through the physical tanking of Basch and the 100% Earth resistance of VoE. First couple times I did this, I thought it might have been because I was breaking the 80% threshold, but sometimes I don't even reach 80%.

You need a 100% evade provoke tank instead of Basch. Cover tanks generally won't block single target attacks, which is why you'll often see people run two tanks for the harder content, one cover and one provoke. And Golem hits hard enough that it doesn't matter how beefy a unit is, it'll likely die after only one or two hits, so the 100% evade is required. In addition, Fragmental Rock reduces your earth resistance by 100%, so any earth damage will get through after he uses that.

I would run:

-Veritas of the Earth: Earth Resistance + AoE cover tank (you'll want him to AoE cover so Fragmented Rock doesn't hit everyone)
-100% Evade Tank: This can be anyone you can get up to 100% Evade and 100% Provoke. Friend units may be the way to go here. All they do is Provoke and keep your other units from dying, so it doesn't matter what else they do.
-MS Nichol: Your best option for MP sustain and buffs. Just have him do what he does best.
-Two DPS: Anyone that can perfect chain together. If you have Lexa, her and a dupe or anyone that can Dualcast Tornado+Aeroja will be great. Worst-case, just pick any two units you have that can chain and slog your way through.

Fragmental rock is magic damage. You need to turn your VoE into a evasion provoker and use earth resist buff and have your basch cover the magic damage from fragmental rock.

I thought Fragmental Rock was a physical attack with magic damage? Or am I confused about how those types of attacks work? I could never really suss that out, never made much sense to me.

Fragmental rock is a 12x magic aoe attack and magnitude 8 is the physical attack with magic damage that cant be evaded. That's why you need some kind of AOE dispel for yourself because magnitude 8 will wreck you if youre party is under the 10 turn 100% earth resist debuff.

Bushido Freedom is the obvious choice if you put it on a healer that has low attack. It shouldnt do much in terms of damage.

Also, make sure youre not a moron like me, and dont put Bushido freedom on VoE, since he cant reapply the earth resist and dispel at the same time.

I still remember going through that one. Everythings going really well at that point, I have VoE do the dispel. Great, no more earth weakness, now to reapply the earth resistance buff with Vo.... FUCK.
