I've been slightly tempted to get a visor in the past because my head is huge so it's hard to find good hats but all visors look bad.

The Rockies are starting Tyler "two-thirds" Anderson today so if the Giants lose they are really bad

I would say the Giants will lose but they're starting the one good pitcher they have so we'll see.

Sounds like the Rockies are just geniuses for spending their worst pitcher on the game they already had the highest chance of losing

I was looking at the matchup on ESPN and a couple of things stood out to me. First is that the leaders in all batting categories for the GIants are McCutchen and Posey, which is sad because Posey has been playing hurt and he's now out for the season, and McCutchen is gone. The other is that the leader in all the categories for the Rockies was Arenado, which was not surprising, but it's crazy how much better his stats are.

Home runs: McCutchen 15, Arenado 31
Batting Average: Posey .284, Arenado .301
RBI: McCutchen 55, Arenado 92
SLG: Hanson (ooh he has 6 homers) .435, Arenado .557
OWAR: Posey 1.8, Arenado 4.7

tl;dr: Arenado is really good and the Giants are not

Sadly, however, Arenado hit #30 on August 14. At that point I thought for sure he'd have another 40-homer season in the bag but that's looking like a real stretch now

They were bound to come to earth eventually. Baseball is really annoying with that. The Braves will win 4 in a row and then lose 4 in a row and then win 3 in a row and lose 4 in a row again

I'm pretty lame and don't really have a favorite player. If I try to come up with one, I just end up going with the best player on the team (Arenado, MacKinnon, Jokic, Miller) which is equally lame. Excluding best players I'd go with:

Rockies: Holliday (or Blackmon because this almost feels like cheating)
Avs: Barrie? I don't know much about these guys
Nuggets: Isaiah Thomas
Broncos: Brandon Marshall

I would have totally guessed Tyler Anderson for the Rockies.

They mentioned right-to-work stuff, which I think I remember one of you two tweeting something about that. Without spoiling too much, basically they're trying to get a law passed in the state and things like teamsters, unions, the Kansas City mafia, etc

Oh wow, that actually makes me kind of intrigued. The right to work stuff was extremely satisfying to watch unfold IRL so I wonder how it would work on the show. We elected a fascist rapist governor who ran on right to work and then when he resigned unions forced a referendum and it got crushed.

Interesting. I'm not even 2 episodes in yet and I'm not sure how far this plotline will go. It's not about the right-to-work, it's just gotten mentioned. I'm sure there are things that went over my head that you would be able to pick up on.
