This topic should be explain to people better how we've actually been playing

There are a couple tables you can join/leave whenever, or you can create your own with different parameters (higher/lower blinds etc)

We also sometimes do tournaments, which require everyone to be together at once to start it

It can be played right in the browser but it does require Flash

It's all fake money, but there is a leaderboard, so it's still kinda serious

Still, we're just trying to chill and learn the game better so skill and experience doesn't matter at all

Maybe we could have a schedule for daily tournaments, a different time every day so everyone has a chance to play based on their schedule.

Hm, poker at the same time may be possible, though mafia would never work unless we did another hydra. Blade is the closest thing I've ever had to a father. It's why I used him as a safety net in the first place.

I think most people just assumed we were dating or something. Silly people~

For the record, he (and multiple others in my life at the time) thought it was a terrible idea to go near mafia and I did it anyway.

The end result was a confidence boost that led to a long overdue change in my life, so it went well. I get no real enjoyment out of the game itself, though. It's generally just a test subject to me.

You replaced out of our last game though and let the absolute monster ColZach come in and destroy us :(

We did have a full table. More than full even.

Good stuff though. I was at -$260 pretty early on but built up to -$40, then back down to $-150. Ended at -$125 I think. Pretty interesting how things can swing.

I basically didn't even play the first two hours because my cards were absolute trash, and whittled away $60, but then ended up +$300 by the time the night was over.

i got up to +230 or so when it was 9-handed, then dropped to +90 by the end. i think i've ended up positive every session of cash games, it's those dang tournaments where i keep losing money.

MSG killing it as usual. you've made a decent amount of real money playing poker, right?

I looked back through the whole history of our tournaments and I've only won one. Need to change that.

...apparently one of those was an 8 player tournament i won in 7 minutes. with normal blind structure. i wonder how the hell that happened.

In cash games, yeah. I've probably thrown most of that away in local tournaments, though. I do considerably worse in that format.
