Feels like a poor choice for a silly voice to listen to for a long time.

Finally watched this

It was pretty damn good. I didn't think the other recent Plinkett reviews really needed to be made, but this one did a really good job deconstructing the movie.

I think the best point was the "comedy of errors" thing. The Vacation movie is exactly what some of these plotlines were like. Basically everything that happens in Finn and Poe's plots (which are the majority of the movie) resulted from their own inept decision making. The last remaining vestiges of the rebellion are being chased by a bunch of Star Destroyers (which I find to be a pretty silly situation to even set this movie in), but somehow the biggest issues are the dumb mistakes Finn and Poe keep making

"A series of mistakes and errors is not a series of obstacles." This is really hits home. Finn and Poe never did a single thing to contribute anything to the situation, they just actively made things worse for everyone and got the rest of the rebellion killed. There was a couple obstacles for them to overcome, but they never really had anything to do with them and just chased their own tails around for the entire movie. The only net result is that Finn gets a girlfriend and... Poe learns a lesson about leadership or something and apparently we are supposed to love him for being a troublemaking scamp.

Personally, I really love everything to do with Luke, Rey, and Kylo Ren, and Plinkett seems to be at least intrigued by the stuff going on with them. It's the Finn and Poe stuff that really just suck.

Also I loved the Star Trek montage of the crew discussing how to solve problems. Goddamn I need to watch some TNG.

I do think these videos are useful, even if they don't think of anything new

It's just nice to have something definitive to slap soneone over the head with when they think episode 2 was good

You did indeed stab me in the back. However, you are only level one, whilst I am level 50. That means I should remain uninjured.
