The only real platforms this gen are PS4 and Switch, so...

PS4 for sure. Many Steam ports seem to be ah... not quite so hot and buggy.

The only difference is one pre order item. PS4 gets a lazy theme which unfortunately lacks any custom music, while PC gets some images intended for wallpapers that you can likely find online later. I highly doubt Dragon Quest XI will be pushing any system, after all it released on the 3DS in Japan, kind of wish we got that version as well for the dual screen 3D / 2D display.

I'm going with PS4 myself simply because a theme, lazy as it is, is still better than some images.

I'd much rather have the 3DS version, but I'm fresh out of knowing Japanese. I think I preordered the PS4 one back in March or April.

i got it 15bucks cheaper on GoG
but I'm ok with it running like shit on my high end graphics card

In general I get a game on steam over console if I have a choice, even though I have a PS4 pro with a gig of memory etc.

Why?

I turn my comp on every day, i turn on my ps4 once or twice a week at most. I tend to play games on my comp waaay more often, even if it's just as good or there is a better one of the same type on my ps4.

For instance, I own Salt and Sanctuary on my ps4. It is WAY better then Death's Gambit, but which game do I play? Death's gambit because if I want a quick 2d dark souls like fix, i can just play it, then switch to another game right away, without having to turn on systems etc.

Basically I'm lazy.
