Oh man guys it's happening

NOMS ARE CLOSED

The highest nomination total I had noted down was 27667 nominations, which was maybe around 4 hours prior to that post. I don't know exactly when the nomination form was taken down, but there's no way that we could have surpassed 27700 nominations before they were closed.

I guess I'll likely put in a guess of 27680 as a rough estimate of our final nomination total.

Okay I was thinking about it and going off of the extent of Metroid Prime's stat underperformance against Morrowind and where the x-stats for the last two games contests have Prime relative to Mario Galaxy, that leads to the conclusion that Fallout 3 overperformed against Brawl in GOTD by about 8%. And somehow I don't have that hard of a time believing that, considering stupid stuff tends to happen late in contests.

Seriously, I'm afraid of seeing Hitler in a future contest, but he getting rallied by actual neo-nazis.

I think SBAllen has seen enough to know better than to allow that at this point.

Why are you calling me out for providing this info when TRE has provided far more updates on the nomination total than I have? I provided only 3 updates on the nomination total where as TRE has provided at least 10 updates (or more). If you're going to call me out for providing nomination updates, you should do the same thing when TRE does it as well.

or better, don't call anyone out for discussing the contest. Heck the reason I enjoy these contests is the board and the discussion about results and numbers and that kinda stuff. The whole contest is 'meaningless' if you really think about it.

How about this: if Bayonetta 2 is extremely well received and (by the grace of God) Bayonetta is actually given a guest spot in Smash, do you take her to beat Dante?

I'd still take Dante over Bayonetta. There's DMC5 hype (even if the microtransactions softened it a bit), and remember how BrawlFEAR fell flat on its face? Lucario nearly lost to freaking Isaac.

Yeah, Bayonetta would be stronger if her first game came out in... let's say 2005 versus 2010, but she's probably a victim of GameFAQs Modern Apathy. I think I'd take her over Kratos, but never over white haired Dante.
