But I still think plums day 2 actions much more strongly fit a narrative where ward is town. It's not 100% of course but I'm having trouble seeing any logic to plum's play from a 'eaed is scum' position.

I would much rather Lynch someone like tange who appears to be coasting.

One of the protections should be killed tonight.

If we decide 1 is scum and lynch one then 2 things could happen.

1) if 1 is scum we could lynch wrong and kill the 1 real protection thus saving scum the effort and we still have to decide about the other tomorrow.

2) if neither are scum we do scums work for them and they could either kill the other to clear the way for any kill they want for the remainder of they could leave them there for the potential we mislynch both of our protections because we have decided only one of them could be town.

Neither situation is markedly better than if we simply hold off until one of them is killed naturally.

That is the only reason thing to do if those are the tools available to them.

Our flavor scanner was confirmed town at that same moment.

Moreover the flavor split had been revealed by plum's flip so any knowledge from igcd would have been just as useful as a regular cop scan. More useful in fact because it would see through godfatherhood.

So yeah scum would need to take down igcd at all costs.

"Decent work" is not a legitimate reason for a town read either Ed, let alone two, at least not to the levels I'd hold most people to. I put more effort than that for basically every single person when giving my reads on every living player.

Bell is apparently ignoring that Jack abilities exist now as well. Don't agree totally with Corrik but I dunno why it's not even being considered.

Don't like the suggestion of a move to Tange either. Ed isn't exactly adding a boatload of activity and insight right now, so inactivity isn't a good reason to switch to Tange. Dunno what to make of the Plum vote at the end of yesterday, but that and the fact that I'm not sold on Shad (who was and probably still is the most in favour of that Tange lynch) makes me iffy.

When plum claimed he must have had a purpose. Whatever that purpose was intended to be he neglected to realize the implication of his claimed role and claimed scan as it related to his be position towards igcd. It was, in that framework, glaringly inconsistent.

With that in mind there must then have been some perspective in plum's mind that his claim was not completely out of line. We already know what plum failed to consider, but I'm trying to figure out what plum DID consider and what his aims were.

I don't believe "it was too late so he was just rolling over". There were still 3 hours left which is an eternity when there are at most 4 votes on people. If he was just rolling over he wouldn't have said anything at all.

I should think the fact that this is a game of mafia pretty heavily implies that scum has powers available.

It could also be a RBer with a single charge of double usage got a night. Rolecop/RBer++/godfather/vanilla or rolecop/RBer/Jack/vanilla both seem reasonable in 14.

Yeah that's this works.

Scum knows what powers they have. Town does not. We do not benefit from testing protection today. That doesn't change simply because we can't say with certainty whether or not scum has the ability to block twice in 1 night.

What we can say is scum probably can't double block more than 1 time so something has to give tonight. No point rushing it.

I considered "pirate is scum" and "pirate is town" possibilities.

If he was scum I would 100% get roleblocked so there was no need to think of my save target for that possibility.

If he was town and they had 1 roleblock I think it would have been to RB 1 protection and kill the other because who gives a shit about a flavor cop? But I guess they did.

I dunno if I should make it clearer but when I ask for reads generally I want people to give me reasons which can be thought about and argued for/against. Saying "he's helpful" doesn't give us anything, and it seems to me like you just threw out vaguely active names because you haven't bothered trying to scumhunt.
