Did I miss a post-credit scene? Ava seemed to have forgotten that the main character was locked away. Did she eventually let him out?

It felt like a legitimate connection there. That really brings the movie down a few notches

How? It builds my hopes for about 90 minutes. Then I thinking "Hey, you forgot something...", and it spirals down the drain.

The moral of the story is that one day AI will become so smart, that what happens next in our relationships with them will ultimately be out of our control. And since AI will likely never be capable of feeling a human-like empathy, they will likely be very indifferent to our existence. This is demonstrated when the AI girl simply did what she was programmed to do, and didnt stop for any side quests if you catch my meaning.

The movie wasnt that good. Didnt feel bad when the main guy was locked away. He was naive and stupid and the bad guy was too extreme.

Perfect case of a good plot with poor execution.

Here's the thing though. She only had contact with two males in the movie. Her creator, who emotionally tormented her, and his friend. She had no reason to believe that the friend was any different to the Creator.
