Teachers/Instructors are sick of having to grade huge stacks of papers when they can just make bank by forcing you to buy an access code or 3rd party DLC for their course unless you want to fail.

Oh yeah, and it's only for a semester/rent, if you fail out you have to buy it again!

What the fuck does a teacher even do? High school teachers do more than college professors since they have to deal with infinitely less mature students and are responsible for teaching information.

Professors just give their opinions and paraphrase the book while having computers grade their tests.

Most professors don't assign their own textbooks because most professors don't write their own textbook. Even the one's who do barely get anything from textbook sales to begin with, especially not enough to make up for the time spent writing it lol.

You need an access code for this course to do their online homework/modules. P2W af, and you don't even keep it for later learning.
You need a clicker for classroom participation/attendance unless you want points off.
You are now required to have a Laptop or certain editions of tablets since they're using electronic tests (which are insanely worse than paper/scantron for the actual student).
Oh I forgot, you need to have an active SUBSCRIPTION for the clicker you got, what the fuck? You're telling me you can't just have a clicker registered and usable? Nope.

They don't make up their own textbook, they just proofread it for hundreds of dollars an hour from the actual company, make minor edits and slap their name on it if they make that deal with the company to make a personalized version for their class.

They often do research as well

Also, here's the personalized lab manuals that gets released every year to another edition with little to no changes made except for a price hike, a different color/binding, and the current year on it!

Then she has a deal where she has her own personalized version of the book(it had her name on the front cover), where she made little to no changes to the fucking material.

Textbooks are a lot of work, sure. When they're initially written. Any college student worth their salt can tell you that subsequent editions, either updated or otherwise, have nearly identical material except for the practice problems, which are different.
