I wouldn't say replace, but definitely automate balls and strikes.
Still need the home plate umpire for plays at the plate of course, but still No reason for "hUmAn ErRoR iS pArT oF tHe GaMe" anymore when it's literally 2018 and we literally have the technology to automate it --- Not removing this until Pat Benatar is in Super Smash Bros. Yeah, it's just dumb for umpires to be trying to make names for themselves with five games left. --- Number of legendary 500 post topics: 26, 500th posts: 20; PiO ATTN: 2 RotM wins 1, https://i.imgtc.com/Ejs0WrG.jpg ... Let me guess: the Matt Carpenter ejection? Yeah, that was bullshit. But in the end, it doesn't even matter.

We can't fully get rid of the umpires, but automating balls and strikes would go a long way to solving quite a few problems. --- "Someday I too will fly... and find you again!" https://imgur.com/bU56UXJ ... Having to work with different strike zones makes the game interesting and challenges both sides of the game.

That's what you should have to worry about. Not "Hmm looks like Joe West calls low strikes, gotta remember that" They have no business being part of the game like that. --- Not removing this until Pat Benatar is in Super Smash Bros.
