Yes, but the current governor put a moratorium on executions, so it's been a few years since any took place.

Edit: Apparently in my state we only executed 3 people since the '70s so it wasn't exactly common anyway.

The death penalty is so dumb. People don't even realize how much more money it costs to try to get someone put on death row vs prison for life.

My state has it, but it's federally outlawed

Yes, but only if you rape someone or kill your mother and stuff. And it's not enforced by the government, but by the convicts.
