care. my parents tried to take me to this speech at church to inspire lapsed catholics to come back. and my dad had to spend over an hour to get to my place cause of some insane traffic accident. and I took it as a sign that I am not supposed to come. so I refused to leave when my dad finally showed up. and I told him it was a sign from the universe that I should just stay home. he called that bullshit and I hung up on, without telling him how ironic it is that he thinks it's bullshit when he believes all the crap in the bible.

fine I get it. I'm a piece of shit. I was mad cause my dad kept me out of the loop. he spent like an hour in apparently slow as shit traffic yet only texted me twice in that time. and he never fully explained how bad it was. I kept thinking he was about to show up. I just got angry. and they know I hate church. I told them over and over I didn't want to come but they kept insisting so I agreed to make my mom happy. but this is what happens. anyway whatever. everyone hates me. my family. CE. PotD. whatever. fuck it

What's there to tell you? "I'm still sitting in traffic not moving." You really need him to keep texting you that?

If you really aren't moving, and can guarantee that you won't be for a solid chunk of time (i.e. at a stop light or when stopped by construction)? Sure. If you're moving very slowly, or don't know when you'll start moving again? That's a great way to add to the congestion with your own accident.

While I agree, it sounds like he was a dick to his dad. It may also be on his parents that he seems to have so many issues, with forcing religion on a person. I have known a lot of people who grew up in strict religious families and they are pretty messed up when they get on their own.
