9 was interesting at first since they tried to mix it up, and a decent amount of the mini games were good. They should've gone back to form on 10, though.

5 was my favorite GameCube one honestly!

GameXplain's review seemed to imply that it's really cool that there are a lot of modes this time around, but each mode simply doesn't have enough to it. The main board mode only has 4 boards, the River Raft Survival co-op mode cycles through the same 15 mini-games, and the online mode does the same and is mini-game only, no board playing online. That's pretty disappointing, but hey, at least the series is ever so slightly improving.

If it was fully online I might still pick it up since most of my friends live far away (and the ones that do are never over these days). But alas, I guess Mario Party will remain a series of fond childhood memories for me.

The fact that it's on Switch and can be taken anywhere honestly is a really big deal for me. The minigames also seemed fun with a good amount of variety, so even if the content isn't perfect I think I'll have a lot of fun with it.

4 sucks though? The mini/mega mechanic is a failure and the boards are lame, especially the idiotic unskippable cinamatics that have aged horribly. Some solid minigames though.

Anyway, really excited for this. I preordered it and already made Friday plans to play it drunkenly with friends.
