Mike Pompeo, President Donald Trump's Secretary of State, met Kim 'Nuclear Kim' Jong-Un in Pyongyang in HISTORICAL event two days ago, and literally NO topic on CE ?! Appalling.

You're right, how have I not thought about that ! A bit like fighting Iraq in 2003 and FREEING Iraqis. All that FREEDOM they can breathe now, inbetween explosion shrapnels or stabbings, when they aren't murdered by the opposite branch 4 times a week.

North Korea has literal Holocaust style concentration camps and more then half there population are imprisoned in them. This isnt like Iraq it is much much worse.

Out of curiosity, what is your solution to the problem? Before the administration started their talks, I was really hoping we could find ways to pressure China into backing away from North Korea through better relations with them, but it appears that our relations to China have gotten worse while our relations with North Korea have kind of gotten better, at least with the executive office's approach to handling North Korea. Sanctions of course are one way, but it appears that so far, it has just hurt the people that live there rather than the North Korean elites.

You're looking at this the wrong way. By establishing friendlier relationships with these countries, we can help them become more receptive to aspects of our culture. Openly hostile approaches aren't beneficial to anyone. It's great to see that Trump is trying something new after years of failure in dealing with that region.
