They are blantantly cheating, so not losing a World Series game isnt that impressive. The MLB has this narrative of love able winners for these pieces of shit and are running with it.

The fact the ENTIRE 04 and 07 starting pitching staffs werent banned for life since literally everyone of them was on roids says all you need to know.

I like Dave Roberts and I think he does some things well as manager

but that all righty lineup is a really bad idea and makes the pitcher's job easier.

I also think he's not using his bullpen correctly and when you have guys talking about needing to use pine tar for the cold (and thus making it so they can't use pine tar), you ought to go with the closer when you have bases loaded and JD Martinez up in a close game. I think some things just got away from Roberts, especially going into game 2.

Cora's done all right though I'm not sure if I like the current plan of Eovaldi being a bullpen guy because it looks like we're going with Drew Pomeranz in game 4, or Eovaldi without proper rest. Also JD Martinez's ankle is in bad shape, so I'm not sure how he gets used in LA.

My original pick was LA in 7 and I'm still leaning that way. Those were winnable games for LA and Boston's pitching worries me.

BTW looks like the Mets are going with Van Wagenan for the GM role... the current agent (deGrom's actually + many others). With no prior ballclub experience. Certainly a ... very outside of the box choice. I wish they went for the analytical Chaim Bloom instead but this should be interesting (though really we know who the real GM is so whatever I guess it doesn't matter in the end).

MLB is filled with more trained and really smart executive candidates than at any time in history -- and the idea that the Mets would hire for GM someone w/o experience running any part of a ball team makes absolutely no sense. The disaster potential is staggering & unnecessary.

I assumed the game had been over for hours.

So I checked the score to see who won.

Only to be shocked that it was tied in the 18th.

And less than 2 minutes later the game is over.

Fuck me I ruined it and the dodgers won.

same thing happened to me. then i checked the play-by-play, and found out both teams had scored in the 13th inning on an infield single and a throwing error. must have been a surreal experience to actually watch that one.

All I had time to do was count the number of ptchers fielded by each team and then poof, the dream was dead.

But I'm not going to check the game 4 score until Sunday morning before church. Unless they are in the 42nd inning I should be safe.
