But I highly suspect that answer's going to change on Friday. And there's a small but nonzero chance it'll change again when I get around to grabbing La-Mulana 2, though it'd have to be even better than the first by quite a bit to top RDR2. And given that it's unlikely Tiamat will appear again, that might be a big challenge. (Of course, if RDR2 turns out to be a flop, that's another story.)

2016-DOOM (just never bought it, Dmb is just a single year before my time and a half portion extra decade before I actually invested effort into what I was gaming, so I had no ros lenses for the legacy)

2017-Middle Earth: Shadow of War (Plat'd Mordor and the Celebrimbor dlc, To the point I was maxed to opm levels of godliness on hardest and could manipulate the Nemesis system while fully engrossed in depthy conversations, moulding a unified Mordorian battalion of finely tuned fatality facilitators by cherry picking demonically dope captains with whimsifically specific potential focused criteria for my own sadistic desires. Mass Cranially explosive suicide cult? Whole sale slaughter of a dense stronghold? Sweatily heated 1v1 duels to the death? Infighting, hunting accident, betrayed and stepped on for advancement, an ordered hit, influential assassination, freak graug rampage, instigate a caragore assault, literally domesticated the programming. Didnt have the means to engage in any gaming by the time the sequel dropped)

2018-Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate (oldskool vet, 100% 3xVillages, 3500 hrs, G** solo guild, 60 some hrs in p3rd.....imported and without English patch, started to recognize kanji and all....GenUlt is the culmination of all sincewhen enhancements upon that foundation, with new elements and literally EVERY monster EVER. I'm deadass considering getting a Switch just for this)
