humans are basically the only things capable of saving all life on earth from an expanding sun that will boil the oceans away... so i mean if we can manage to not destroy the environment before then and obtain the technology to slowly pull the earth away from the sun or manufacture a shielding as the solar expansion takes place it may last much longer as a habitable zone for life with us in the picture.

also every form of life on the planet is inevitably doomed without us existing, realistically we are the only species capable of rescuing any life from earth in the distant future unless something else intelligent is to evolve which seems unlikely.
