Xenosaga has amazing stories and a bunch of great characters

I prefer many of the other characters to kos-mos but she's still great and deserves to do well, has a far deeper character than you would guess given her design

I played up to Chapter 8? W/e the level is when Ellie takes off on a horse after a bandit attack. Then watched a friend play through the rest. The multiplayer was much more interesting to me than the single player.

That being said Ellie is more popular than Kos-mos, just not on GF. Who knows though, L block won back in 2007 and has always won a couple rounds or so after that but didn't even beat Kefka this year.

And it's a whiner with a particularly mean streak (thinks a KOS-MOS cameo in a game he played determines whether the character is worthless, that just because the game is old and hasn't been re-released it's irrelevant, etc.). Even his claim against piracy doesn't hold up. Look at the vote map - https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/poll/7300-division-8-round-1-ellie-vs-kos-mos - and see how many countries were ones where people could afford pirate Xenosaga DVDs back in the day rather than the much more expensive PS3 and TLOU.

You do know that Fiora is helping KOS-MOS stay relevant right? That is what happens when Fiora, Elma, and Pyra/Mythra continues to honor the legacy of KOS-MOS in their design (the KOS-MOS archetype), while also being the 2nd most important person in the party of each of their games (I haven't played X, so Elma might be the number 1 there.).

Have you even compared X-Buster to Final Cross?

The LoU came out 5 years ago and was only a sensation amongest the casuals who have since moved on (like the casuals did with the Wii). The kind of people who played the LoU don't vote on Game FAQS with any real numbers in the first place.
The end result is that the LoU has been forgotten (especially here).

KOS-MOS was pretty consistently in a daughter-mother relationship with Shion during episode 1. She struck me as closer to a friend/equal during episode 3.

Regardless KOS-MOS should be asexual (why would a gynoid that isn't a sex-bot have a sex drive?) due to being a robot.
