I downloaded Assassins Creed: Rebellion over the Thanksgiving break though. It's moderately fun but it doesn't seem to be very F2P friendly, as it doesn't take very long for the difficulty to ramp up enough to where you either have to spend for better units or step up the grind in order to level up your Brotherhood.

I'm the opposite.

Downloaded ac:r and deleted it after 30 minutes.

I'm about to delete it as well. Just trying to get enough for another multi to see who I can get. Looks like Dragalia Lost will be my only gacha until something else releases.

After a while I think I'm kinda open to getting dupes. I did a bunch of birthday rolls today, splurged a tiny bit (that is spending the gems I've been hoarding >.>), got a dupe of Cecilia and was really happy about it. Those merge bonuses can go a long way, especially a % one like most 5*s. And on a great unit like Lorina who literally can't get dupes outside ML summon, I daresay you kinda got lucky. Lorina can take you far and is probably the highest dps in the game according to many

Thank you Epic Seven players for basically carrying this topic and keeping it from purging. I thought about trying the game out (and you guys can try to convince me) but considering how much I already have going, I doubt I would play it enough to really get into it like you guys. I've been busy with Girls Frontline and Revue Starlight ReLIVE, while also still trying to make (slow) progress in Granblue Fantasy, Toji No Miko, and Precure Connection. I ended up dumping Yugioh Duel Links and Black Clover Infinite Knights.

It plays like an MMORPG with pretty sweet anime cutscenes in attacks and in select story bits. The story itself is surprisingly pretty fun, and the game manages to use a lot of different angles of its gameplay pretty well. Small first cutscene spoilers: a character is seen dying on screen but tbh it's the only real violent part of the entire story mode, and it's sorta shown in that black and white anime way if you know what I mean. I believe a character also gets injured during a fight but such an injury is also never shown after the first cutscene The re-roll is generous mostly because it's really hard to get 4*+ later on. Well in terms of Epic 7, the game gets good when it gets harder and you start to see the depths of the game. But it's overwhelming if the game takes you there too quick. Gotta take the time to build a pretty cool team first because most units are usable in this game. The start can be a bit rough but once you stick with it, you start to see just how much correct thought was put into it

Last one I tried that for was the danmachi game which I already didn't want to play because of how crunchyroll handled the whole censorship thing and after trying like 50 times and not getting what I wanted I just stopped which was a shame since I really wanted to like it.

There's a built in reroll after finishing the 10th stage of the first chapter (Takes maybe 15-20 min). You get to do a 10x pull, 30 times. If you get what you want, you click claim. If not, keep going for 30 rolls.

You can only get 1 5 star unit max during this time but that's all you really need (research which ones are best tho) because the unit balance in the game is excellent. Several top tier 3 star and 4 star units, unlike certain gachas where only 5 stars are meta.

Yeah like Touch says, it's more like PAD in terms of balancing and team variety where almost every unit has some degree of viability. I'd say you still should start with a 5* or two. On the reroll, if you get Sez, Destina, Armin, or Krau, just stick with it asap, even better if you get some good 4*s or an artifact called Dust Devil 4* on top of it.

And most of all, just take your time with the game. There aren't anything super tough that requires you to rush to that point of the game or anything. Though you might miss Destina's side story event since there's 1 day left on it. Just cut your losses and build a team for the next event instead

Wtf lul that one's pretty good. I understand if he has no mage though because I'm pretty sure there aren't many flex options for mage. Carmainrose is a great one, and she's a 3*

Also you definitely won't ever need all the units I listed, just like 1-2 of each role tbh. Most people do 1 dps, 1/2 tank, 1/2 healer/supports

I'm running two teams lol:

Destina/Mercedes/Elson/Cecilia
and
Destina/Cecilia/Lorina/Tieria

2nd team has gotten a ton more progress for me. Might swap Mercedes and Tieria in the first comp and see what happens.

He's only really good with a team set up specifically to make sure he gets dual attacks iirc.

Just pulled assassin cartuja, little less miffed about the other pulls now.

Sounds solid. Mercedes is sadly pretty infamously underpowered right now so once you start having trouble, which won't be for a while, you might want to graduate from her. Lots of great free options like Lorina or Silk. But if you rolled Tieria, also a top tier unit to invest in, and luckily they all got big thingies

Maya's a pretty solid unit. You can get Maya for free later on, which you might think is a bad thing, but you can feed dupes for team-wide buffs that become pretty important in high end play. I don't see too many of her so I haven't seen the full extent of what she can do

According to the Koreans, "She has 2 stun skills on top of a taunt, so she will constantly annoy the opponent. Comparing this to LoL, she's like Leona." PVE: S, Arena: S+, Boss A+. Sounds about right, stuns don't work for a lot of bosses, so you might want to consider alternate tanks for boss stages. Provoke is great for arena because it enforces whatever unit that gets provoked to use their s1 skill, which are usually not as impactful as s2 and s3.

Ravi is terrific. She falls off in arena later on because she takes too long to take off, where arena's first few turns are really important. But she's SS rank (highest rank) for both PVE and boss contents, S+ on Arena

Just forget what I'm saying about Arena. That's the kind of stuff you'll be tempted to figure out later on. It's good to have a team for PVE and PVP contents cuz both are really really hard in different ways.

Also, in the lobby, make sure you click on those like launch support and some trio event or whatever. There are 2 events that have a bunch of missions that give you really great daily items. Always get all of them. It's not too hard, but you have to beat story to about ch 4? or so to get all the dailies

And is there gonna be a sexy santa suit limited gacha or any other kind of seasonal/collab things going on? I'm a sucker for those and always save for those even if the units are bad in these gacha games since I really like the themes/crossovers and whatnot

Yeah dupes are actually pretty worthless compared to getting a new top tier 3-5* unit. You can improve every unit to 6*s, and a LOT of 3*s are considered some of the best units in the game.

Plenty of guides for how to raise 3-5*s to 6*s, but it's a lot of work and mostly for late game.

Raising 3*s to 4-5*s can be done early and is very very useful, and also free

Anything requiring luck on the level of +10s of FE are equipments more than dupes. Equipments are like Diablo-like and randomized. There are like sets, like hp sets or attack sets where if you put on 2 of hp sets, you get a 15% hp bonus. You can equip multiple of the same set, so units like Destina who scales on hp will equip 6 hp set equipments for example. They have 4 extra stat enhancements that rise every 3 levels on the equipments. They'll have a tutorial for all that stuff later. But also mostly irrelevant until late game

Wait fuck, I misunderstood you lol. Yeah there's no batch roll. There is a pack that gives you 10 bookmarks and 3 penguins for 950 stones. That's more efficient than getting 5 bookmarks for 100 stones. Also you can actually buy them in stores and merchants for gold lul, but gold is somehow more valuable than stones later on

I wish there are seasonal stuff. The game's too new to know whether or not they'll do some, and this Christmas will be telling

Tried out Tales of Erin. I got lucky on my first multi and go the 5* featured unit but then proceeded to get trash the next two multis. The game started off well enough but just like AC:Rebellion you seem to get hit with the hard content pretty fast in order to encourage you to pull for better units and equipment. I have a feeling that it'll be deleted by the end of the week.

I downloaded Mist Gears off the QooApp. The servers have been down for the past 18+ hours and are finally back up. I completed the initial tutorial and am waiting for the rest of the download.....which is probably the slowest download I've ever had for a mobile game. It's an Alim game so I'm pretty excited to try it. Kind of a bummer that it's an equipment based game though, that's one of the reason I had trouble getting into Record Keeper.

I started yesterday and it's fun. The SR rates (5* units) are REALLY bad though, I probably re-rolled at least 30 times before finally getting one. Luckily re-rolling is super fast in this game, it takes 2 minutes tops.

The Eulogy for a Saint side story for Epic Seven is honestly fantastic. It just adds so much to the main game that honestly people should play the side story before they even start Chapter 1 (which is impossible since you need to progress through about half of it before you're able to do side chapters I think). Diene and the knight fellow have such cute chemistry, and they need to hurry up and make their trap baby before something bad happens to Mr. Knight who I can't freaking remember the name of

It also gives a lot of backstory to Angelica and Krau, both of whom maintain a pretty decent role in the main story, Krau especially, but they sorta appear out of nowhere. But if you play the side story, you kinda see how relevant they are in the back of the entire story.

The archdemon war that almost destroys the world is also sorta brushed off in the main story, like "oh yeah heir of the covenant, Diene just kinda won the war for us while you were being a useless ass sleeping." But the side story makes the war out to be a lot more desperate and widespread. Also Friedrich was always said to be a decent guy before he went crazy, but that was just based on what Krau tells you. The side story shows a bit more of him outside everything that leads him to become mad.

Also lol Diene's moves are so much more badass and large in scale compared to anything Ras can do. Why wasn't she our protagonist?

It's terrific. I'm honestly pretty invested in the overall story of this world

Also... 2 hours added to the maintenance yet again. Whoopdie fucking doo

Shes gotten me through a HELL of a lot of strong enemies. When powered up, her ultimate attack is monstrous. She easily outclasses the lame fuck Saberface shitters at killing Lancers, which Saberface shitters are SUPPOSED to be strong against. They are like a mosquito bite in damage compared to Jack's rocket launcher.

It's according to their character. Diene cares about nothing other than her duties and pretty much grew up knowing she'd be born to only do saintly things, and Bask (lol I'll forget his name again in a few hours) is too stubborn and unaware of his own feelings. And they're still kids (according to Gunther), so yeah.

Best wingman Krau and Angelica will be back, so there's no way they don't confess before the story ends
