From Dragon Ball to Z To GT to Super.

Dragon Ball through Cell Games is really all that I enjoy as an adult. Buu Saga was alright, but yeah. GT wasn't as bad as people make it out to be, but Super is hot trash.

I didn't give it 1/10 out of respect for the original Dragon Ball, which was decent.

But everything after is complete shit and is the stuff that the series is known for. Even worse, DBZ was SO MANY people's first experience w/ anime.
Which means there's a ton of annoying nostalgia goggle-blinded fools who think it's the best thing ever, and...it's also kind of amazing how many people I've met who said "anime sucks" and when I ask what anime they've seen to draw that conclusion, 90% of the time the answer is simply "Dragon Ball Z." Which...I can understand how that one series as a first impression would sour an entire medium of entertainment to somebody, but it still sucks thinking about how many people w/ good taste have probably been turned off of anime by the one freaking show.

I'll admit, I'm being biased. Dragon Ball Budokai introduced me to the series, anime and gaming in general. So i'm forever grateful for the existence of that game.

Without Dragon Ball, most modern Action-Anime wouldn't exist without the series. It set the standard for the genre. Nowadays, you can see every cliche that Dragon Ball invented, from power-ups to transformations to goofy-small-brain big-heart protagonists.

I'm inclined to agree, Dragon Ball peaked with the Frieza Saga. I'm also going to go a bit further and say that the Saiyan and the Frieza saga are the best arc's in almost all of Anime. However, doesn't make the Cell Saga nor Buu Saga unwatchable. Kai does a good job of cleaning up the filler and making it bearable for new folks.

Super is also pretty dope, it's not as good as the OG nor Z, however, it does capture those moments that made Dragon Ball, like lightning in a bottle.

GT was good for nostalgia but boring.

3 i guess. Think it was DBZ that i tried watching when i was younger and didnt care for it at all. Thankfully it didnt turn me off of anime in general.

When Inwas younger, I remember not watching it or liking it as much as my cousins. But then, I got stuck watching a marathon of it one day because a hornet was in the house, and I had to keep an eye on it until my stepdad came home. And the remote was over by where it was. So, I had to watch it... And came to be ok with it. Im surprise one show could turn people off of all anime, though. That seems kind of weird to me. To based a whole medium off of one show...
