I have to change way too much to gain weight. I have to eat when Im not even hungry, and buy more food than usual because of it. Its embarassing lifting baby weights at the gym.

Fat people just have to change what they eat instead of frequency often times. And no one judges people doing cardio nearly as much as baby lifters. Thus, their budget is still intact.

Not to mention there is no bad weight loss. But gaining weight could just mean gaining fat. Which isnt what you want.

As far as gender goes, skinny guys are in the same category as fat women often times. Your personality has got to carry you.

As someone who went from 105 to 135, no, it's not that hard. It does take dedication though.

In my early 20s, it was full blown impossible for me to gain weight. I ate everything in sight, healthy and unhealthy, and I would not go above 145 if my life depended on it.

My metabolism slowed down significantly, so I can't eat completely what I want, but I can still stuff my face, burn few calories, and maintain weight equilibrium at low 190s.

Im not sure about that part. Still, I think losing weight isnt as hard as people make it out to be. Most overweight people get fat because of what they eat, moreso than a lack of exercise. You can lose tons of weight by just cutting out sugar.

The people I know who try to gain weight either physically cannot, due to an insane metabolism, or can't overcome their fullness, the mental game. I can't relate to the latter, so I can't say if it's easier or harder than doing the opposite.

Cutting weight is more difficult because there's a lot more restrictions to doing it while maintaining as much muscle as possible. Plus you outright don't have the same amount of energy.

Gaining weight is easier because it's not erasing your hard work. Even if you gain a little fat while gaining muscle it's nbd. You're still stronger and that's all that matters.

Ideally, you're lifting while doing both. You're just slightly modifying your routine.

Its hard to eat when youre not hungry. I can have one meal a day days, and be completely fine. If Im full, Im full. Just eat more is a lot harder than eat differently.

Check my post above. During that time, a light day for me was about 5000 calories. Normal went up to 7 or 8k, and then if I was really hungry, 10k/day was not out of the question.

Never been an athlete, and I worked retail during that time frame.
