These guys are hella creepy and deserve to get arrested, but why do they just sit down docilely and talk to Chris Hanson knowing that their face is on national television and they're going to be on the sex offender registry for life, effectively ending their life/career prospects? I really think it's scripted at this point. All these guys follow the same pattern with slight variations to make each episode stand out, chats/texts that go "I'll be in trouble if someone finds out" but continues to go anyway, stays to chat and look like a piece of shit instead of shutting up immediately to not incriminate themselves and not give Hansen a satisfying show, and all say the same "I was just coming to hang out" excuse.
The biggest thing though is that literally all these people go to the same Fairfield Connecticut area. Does there really live that many predators in the same place who are internet savvy enough to know where to look for sexual relations with children online but not realize how Hansen operates?


IIRC large parts of the original show were heavily staged.

One of the best shows on TV. Its also interesting to observe the people who talk about this show like Hanson is in the wrong. The fact that some people think these proven child predators should have protection should be ashamed of themselves.

Until the criminal courts began to punish these monsters fairly, the only way to protect our kids is from them is to publicly put their names and faces on the internet and TV. There seriously are people who think that child predators should be a protected class (which they should not be)

Hopefully they change up the formula tbh, most of the pedos on the new show seemed to catch on pretty quickly. Especially when they used that male bait dude who looked over 40. Just not entertaining anymore to see the same basic thing happen over and over slowpoke

How does this even still work with Google Maps, Zillow, and social media being a thing? "Hey you have no social media pics and your house is a rental property used for various TV shows. Are you sure you're real? You are? Great, I'm on my way."

Fairfield had 11 predators that we know of. A typical To Catch a Predator had 30+ guys in one episode. 11 guys isn't unusual.

I work in customer service and I hear the same 4 or 5 argument points from customers every day. I'm not surprised by the predators saying the same thing or making the same excuses.

the newer ones just seem fake. the guys they catch are almost like caricatures of the predators from the NBC show..it just doesn't seem natural at all. Maybe its the way they edit it, to get that "viral" affect so the videos will be shared but i don't know..

I had said that age is a really shitty predictor of between subject brain maturity, and so using it as a strict cut off is silly. More appropriate would be to take it on a case by case basis to assess maturity and circumstance.
