Like your house or some other peoples house?

I take my shoes off everywhere unless it's some ghetto ass house and everybody else is keeping their shit on.

Generally, no. If I've got them on and I need to grab something quickly, I'll leave them on instead of taking the time to take them off and put them back on, but most of the time, I take my shoes off as soon as I come in.

Depends. I will take them off if someone is cleaning the carpet or they are dirty. If they are not, I might not. When coming home, I don't take them off until I know I'm done heading outside and I'm where I'm going. Like if I've already taken my dogs outside and I'm in my room, then I'll take them off or whatever.

At other people's house, it depends. When I go to most friend's house. I sometimes wear them for a little before I take them off. Other friends, it's immediate.

When I'm at my SO's house, I usually don't until we are in his bedroom. When I went to his family's house for Thanksgiving, I noticed that everyone mostly had their shoes on(including my SO), so I continued to wear mine. But we did go outside multiple times, so... eh. Later on, I did take them off and put them by the door.

It basically just depends all the time. I was wondering about this very question on Thanksgiving because I wasn't sure what I should do.

If I'm at someone else's place, I will submit to the house rules. In my own home, I may not always wear shoes but I do have slippers.

There comes a time in everyone's life when they either decide to stop locating furniture with their pinky toes, or accept the fact that they'll just break the little fucker off at some point. I still have both of mine.

Shoes worn outside can immediately be assumed to be dirty. I don't understand why you'd wear shoes in people's homes. It's unrealistic to expect you to carry a second pair of shoes everywhere.

Also, if you're relaxing at your own home, why would you want to wear shoes? Being barefoot is liberating.

I feel gross barefoot. And my feet are cold. And always feels like someones tockling then. I hate it. Socks are better... if you get the comfortable ones.

In my own home I'll walk in from inside, go right up to my room and take my shoes off. I tend to walk around either with socks on or barefoot inside my house. In other peoples homes I take hem off unless they say it's fine not to do so. Doesn't matter what flooring they have I think it's only polite to do so.

I always wear them in my house. I might take them off when I sit in my recliner, but walking around without them is painful. I have a dog, he tracks way more mud and grime in then I do anyways. I have to clean the floors once a week just to clean up after him.

Other people's houses I will go by whatever their wishes are.

Nope. I usually go barefoot in my own home.

In others', though, I often have no choice but to wear shoes, unless someone living there is willing to help me take them off and put them back on again later; I can't bend forward far enough to remove or don shoes I can't slip into and out of.

Not really. It depends. Like, during the party, i keep my shoes on all the time. One reason was Idk think Ive ever seen people taking off their shoes at bigger parties, even when just in the house. The other was because we had been going in and outside a lot. The only time I took off my shoes was for the pool/hot tub. But shoes arent that uncomfortable. I dont wear them all the time, though. But I also have no reason to immediately take them off when I walk through the door. Ill usually go to my own room before taking them off. Or when bringing in groceries, I might take them to the kitchen or set them down somewhere in the house first rather then take off my shoes and put them back on 10 seconds later. I might also sit down on the couch before taking off my shoes. Those still involve wearing shoes inside a home, though...
