1. Grandma moms side. My grandpa passed away when I was still a baby. But he did hold me. I dont know about my dads parent, though. Also, my great grandma was alive until recently.

Technically six grandparents for me, my mom and two uncles were adopted by their uncle and aunt when they were less than five years old, but none of them are still alive. The last one, my adopted grandmother, passed away 20 some years ago. I only personally met three of the six. Naturally my mom and two uncle's parents passed away well before I was born and my dad's father also passed away before I was born.

And I thought I was going to be the only oddball one with more than four. If you don't mind answering, did it involved some folks re-marrying or getting adopted?

zero or one. will never know who my mom's dad was. the other three are gone. (mom's mom died when I was 12, dad's mom died ~10 years ago, and dad's dad died ~5 years ago.) never really knew any of them anyway.

Maternal grandma, the only one I ever really knew

Paternal grandpa died before I was born, paternal grandma died when I was really young, and maternal grandpa lived in florida/arizona from the time I was born until his death in my teenage years so only saw him a handful of times.

Maternal grandfather died in 2004 at age 84.
Paternal grandfather died in 2009 at age 88.
Paternal grandmother died in 2011 at age 89.
Maternal grandmother died in 2015 at age 92.

I never knew any of my grandparents so idk.

Never met my paternal grandfather, mom lost contact with him before I was born.

We're not related by blood, but my dad's step-dad, who i always called pop-pop and basically consider a grandfather, is still alive

My last remaining grandparent (maternal grandmother) turns 96 next week. She is still very active but a little slower moving. Her mother lived to be 102.

Both grandfathers died before I was born, 1 grandmother had Alzheimer's diagnosed right before I was born and died when I was in elementary, 1 grandmother had Alzheimer's diagnosed when I was in college and died 2 years ago.

Amazingly all 4 of mine still are and I'm 29. My grandfather on my moms side doesn't get around so well nowadays but the other 3 are still going pretty strong

I did have a great grandmother until she past away my senior year.

my paternal grandfather wasn't really involved with my dad's life at all, so we never talk about him, or to him or anything.

I know that he tried to contact my dad a while ago (maybe 5-10 years ago) asking for money or something (since my dad's pretty successful) but I think my dad just ignored him.

Just the one grandma, fathers mom passed before i was born.

Both grandfathers passed away. One from throat cancer but he did love his cigars, so dont smoke, lest you want to die painfully and unable to eat solid foods.

I've had six grandparents, due to my dad's parents divorcing (after the kids were grown) and remarrying. They're all gone now, the last of which being my paternal grandmother about 2.5 years ago at the age of 93. Maternal grandmother died about a month shy of 90, and both biological grandfathers made it to their late 70's, so looks like I should be pretty set longevity-wise.

All of them. I talk to grandma all the time.

I had an English step grandma who liked to be called nanny. She died of cancer sadly.

Either one or zero. My paternal grandfather passed in 2009, my paternal grandmother passed in 2012, and my maternal grandfather passed later that year.

And my maternal grandmother left my grandfather when my mother was still in her teens, so I have no idea if she's still alive or not.

The only one not still alive is my grandmother who died giving birth to my mom.

2, both grandmas. Technically the biological, maternal grandfather is alive *I think*, but I never met him and there's no family contact.

Paternal grandfather died at 56 because he didn't take care of his diabetes. Maternal Step-grandfather hit by a car at 80 something 5 years back.

Adopted or biological--my dad was adopted at age 7, after he and his sisters were abandoned, so there're six grandparents to count here--they're all gone, most of them from some form of cancer. Ironically, the one with the least healthiest lifestyle or habits was the last to go.

My father's father died in 1994. His mother died in 2000.

One - my paternal grandmother, who is in her mid-90s now.

My maternal grandmother was a smoker and died to lung cancer when I was quite young. My maternal grandfather was next to go - a stroke when I was nine robbed him of most of his motor functions and left him a profoundly broken man, which made it very painful to see him, since he clearly did not want to be alive anymore. He made it five more years before he had a heart attack and a DNR order saved him from anymore suffering. My maternal step-grandfather and my paternal grandfather both died within a couple of years of each other, the former from throat cancer, and I don't even know what the actual cause of death was for the latter (he had been in declining health for a few years by that point).
