I finished chapter 3 (that mission in town ;_; ), and hunted a lot (no legendary animals, though). Sniper rifle through the skull is OP for hunting medium/large creatures. Also did some stranger missions.

I'm in chapter 6. I just did a mission last night where I had dialog options while riding a horse someplace, and Arthur dropped a piece of huge character exposition in a completely missable conversation. I was like whaaaaaaat

Just a heads up, that sniper rifle doesn't one shot the legendaries. I learned that the hard way. Shot that legendary grizzly and it still came charging at me. That scope ended up working against me.

You should never feel obligated to go do the story. Go dick around until you get bored, then go do the story.

There's only like 2 missions in Guarma, so if you want to do any exploring make sure to take care of that sooner rather than later. I thought we were gonna be there a lot longer

Legendaries aren't much tougher than regular animals. I've one shot the fox and the elk. Grizzled are just damn tough. Hit it with a poison arrow then deadeye and unload on it with a repeater.

That's how I planned on playing but I got so intrigued by the story that I couldn't stop.

Definitely gonna take my time on my next playthrough. Need to go for high honor this time, I've accidentally murdered so many people so my honor has been low for pretty much the whole game no matter how hard I try to increase it.
