Half the time rallies/cheating/whatever looks like that because they are both supposed to fall of the cliff due to lowered vote intakes and only one ends up falling because they're artificially being lifted in some way.

I remember people said this like 50 times in the confirmed cheating match of Tommy Vercetti vs Kefka "no unnatural increase he just fell off" and yeah it doesn't mean anything.

Link faces no external threats anymore and only has to fear a coup from below.

I think even if Samus barely loses this, the Nintendo hierarchy is much more fragile than we thought and there's no reason why Mario/Samus can't threaten Link, at least in a Finals rematch.

Zelda is already 2/2 against the Noble 9 in this contest. The Snake rematch really isn't interesting to me. Zelda/Cloud could be, but I'd actually rather see if the Nintendo SFF order has been shaken up even more than we've seen. I mean, she'll get her chance next round regardless, so we'll see if the crumples to a 60/40 or can actually make it interesting.

Also, I again reference Zelda's picture disadvantage, which is the first time she's had to deal with one all contest (and I think it's kinda severe considering it's a sprite many don't recognize against classic Sonic). She's doing quite well given the circumstance.

Zelda won't get 60/40'd By anyone in this contest Except Link. She will lose to Both Samus/MArio but not by that much. When i say "easily beaten" i mean 56-44 or something around that. She may make it 54-46 but 60-40 isn;t happening to Zelda by anyone(except the obvious) as she's proven in this contest to be a real juggernaut.

But regardles of that. This proves this site is heavily populated by SMASH fans right now. They don't have a huge SFF preference between Mario/Samus. If anything Samus is the more popular Smash Character.

But Mario as a franchise is obviously more popular. Thatss balancing out to marginal Mario Win.

If Smash wasn't relevant right now then we would see Mario winning by a lot more.
