It's a shame. Mega Man vs. Pikachu might be fun because it was ridiculously close, and if we get Zelda/Snake that might as well. That's more luck than anything though, there's no need in seeing Crono/Bowser og Samus/Tifa again. I'm in particular sad that Tifa's fantastic run will end with her facing Samus twice. Tifa has never went down to anyone outside the NN, yet she's faces only three of them with both Samus and Sephiroth having beaten her several times before this contest. At least she flipped one of those results.

The most likely reason, other than "Allen didn't think about it", is that it makes the bracket considerably less difficult to predict.
But the bracket is already so difficult I'd wager most people have dead brackets and would rather just see more interesting matches at this point. ... Copied to Clipboard!
