Geoff Johns took over DC Entertainment after BvS and has since then gotten promoted to a different position. Most of the people who put Snyder there in the first place have either left or are now working elsewhere within WB. While I agree that DC has made some bad decisions, I think it's a wise one not to copy the competition verbatim. Its not about being grimdark but having something other than colors fighting in your face. Thor ragnorak was awesome for sure but the build for Stark to fight Cap and Bucky in civil war is what sticks with me.
