I was really happy to see Claire get her first win this year, especially since I thought Persona was going to win out in that match. Zelda's run and Alucard's run (even if it came at the expense of Kefka) were also enjoyable to see.

Mario/Samus I was probably my favorite result of the contest, mainly because it vindicated all those words I spent on my Analysis Crew guest write-up, when I had been so frequently off-base in my earlier write-ups. Actually getting the points for Mario's win was just an added bonus that helps its standing in my mind.

Some honorable mentions include Alucard's run and Crash solidifying CHNW (Cecil Harvey Never Wins), along with the whole of Division 3 really. The highlights of other divisions for me were Geralt's run, Amaterasu demolishing Draven (thanks Captain_Sorzo for reminding me), and finally Garrus's win over Ramza, for (probably) being the single most fun match of the contest for me.

I don't have one, no results happened in this contest that were particularly exciting to me. Phoenix > Ike is the closest I guess but Phoenix was favored

My favorite results include:

-Donkey Kong upsetting Leon Kennedy
-Vivi taking out the strengthened DK with ease
-Alucard killing everything in his division, getting a respectable score on Cloud, and nearly matching up with Bowser
-Phoenix Wright hanging in there and beating out Ike, even though Ike was favored at the time of the match (I think)
-Amaterasu absolutely obliterating/annihilating/utterly destroying Draven
-Aerith beating Fox and proving to be stronger than Squall

In no particular order:

Velvet getting a win
Cloud > Mario
Yuna > Godot (Yuna might be my favourite character in the bracket; Godot is near the bottom)
Zidane choking (my most disliked character in the bracket)
Lightning taking care of business against fodder and making good on my kneejerk that she was stronger than Noctis
Tifa's run in general, but particularly upending Sephiroth (I like Seph, but Tifa always deserved to be the #2 character from that game and it's nice to see her finally get there)

EDIT: oh and 2B and Bayonetta both being legit, how did I forget that.

Indeed. The only other matches where I couldn't stop laughing over a blowout were Link vs. Ganondorf (2004) and Mega Man's extreme blowouts over Ms. Pac-Man and Serious Sam.

Amaterasu buttbreaking Draven made Metal Man losing that same day almost painless. What a glorious match Ammy had.

Knuckles surprising was a nice one too.

Calling Master Hand's run again was fun since I didn't get most of my upsets right this contest.
