Looks like the best realistic case scenario I put forward came to pass.

Would have still preferred it pulled a Made in Abyss, but it's way easier to fudge out a 1 hour time slot than an hour and a half.

I've honestly enjoyed how insane the show has gotten since Silver Chariot Requiem appeared, and I'm very excited to see what kind of bullshit Gold Experience Requiem can do, considering the normal version could basically do everything already.

I'm not even sure there can even BE a final fight. I think Giorno with his normal stand could've taken on Diavolo, much less with this super powered version.

I mean, isn't King Crimson basically just a better version of The World, aside from the fact that Diavolo apparently can't attack within the skipped time itself?

Which, to be fair, is a significant limitation, but even though Gold Experience itself seems pretty arbitrary in what it can do and the blood drop counting to detect stand usage and maybe be able to avoid some attacks, I'm not sure what Giorno could actually do?

(Note that I could be very much misunderstanding here, but that's my impression)

Probably should just wait to see the end of the fight but GERs ability is to return an opponents attack and willpower to a state of zero completely nullifying them and preventing them from becoming a real. All supposed actions created by an opponent get reset back to their starting point.

Where King Crimson skips the cause and gets only to the effect, Gold experience requiem erases the effect and leaves only the cause

It's not so much that GER is particularly overpowered in the grand scheme of things in regards to actually winning a fight, it's that it's not capable of being defeated, the ultimate incarnation of the immoble object to an even greater extreme. All action taken again it is reduced to "zero", so theoretically there is nothing that can ever be done to "take action" against it, the attempt itself will cease to have ever occurred in the first place.
