Speaking as someone that got bullied years ago I don't believe anyone 'deserves' that kind of experience.

Human-Beatrice is kinda cute... I can't believe I'm saying this now. She's an entirely new person other than her appearance.

Battler has the ability to view Rosa's story as a dead body. Purgatory is a weird place.

So, there is now a high chance that there is a 19th person on Rokkenjima, and that person is not going to be the human Beatrice. Unless, Beatrice is playing with words again, telling Battler that the person that fell off the cliff is dead, but not confirming that it is indeed the human Beatrice.

According to Beatrice, Kinzo's ceremony was a reaction to her escape around 20 years ago. I can still point out some contradictions: the portrait and epitaph were clearly related only to the ceremony, but was placed more than 20 years ago. The chapel, which should be used for the ceremony as well, was already built/under construction more than 20 years ago. And somehow, Kinzo knew that Beatrice would have regained enough of her power to take part.

The ceremony is a way to fulfill the contract, but was thought up only as Beatrice escaped, so there should be an original plan for Beatrice to take Kinzo's assets.

The last few hours is a huge info dump. I honestly thought these would come much later. Don't know why Beatrice had to tell such a long story just to say, in red, that there are 18 humans.

We're not going to wait until the morning to see dead people it seems, I'm going to predict the 6 deaths:
Kinzo - not a prediction, already got to that part before I realized
Natsuhi - for reaching the end of the 1st game
Rosa - for reaching the end of the 2nd game
Kyrie - for being Kyrie
Rudolf - for being Rudolf
George - Probably a Eva centered episode, so her son dying would be big.

When the servants were outside the door I thought Kinzo was already dead. Then they went in and he wasn't and I thought I got tricked. Then he burst into flames and I realized I was tricked into thinking I got tricked.

Even if Kinzo was sacrificed early, Beatrice still goes to see him. Last episode, he survived to see Beatrice and got eaten anyway. Is there even a point to this whole ceremony, seeing that Kinzo's sole objective is to see Beatrice one more time?

Beatrice could just waltz in Kinzo's study even with the protected door as long as Kinzo got picked. Those charms are not very useful.

His death is also similar to that of Episode 1.

Ronove is joining in too. If more demons get introduced, the mansion will get very crowded before the killing even starts in episode 8.

I guess I have to deal with the multiple Battler/Beatrice/Ronove stuff again?

Without Beatrice in the mansion in the beginning I was hoping that this would be more of a mystery and less action like episode 1, looks like that's not going to happen.

It would seem that, for Beatrice, Ronove and maybe the Ass-Nee Chans, they can appear both in purgatory and the real world simultaneously, and are fully aware of the past games.

Kanon got stronger, does something from last episode carry over for the furniture-servants too?

Ok, I never thought he would actually beat the stake.

Not that it matters, Beatrice is probably going to send in goats or the rest of the Ass Nee-Chans and tell Kanon he has to beat all of them. It would be too easy to guess who survives if Kanon gets to choose.

Stake sisters are humiliating the oldest one, yeah yeah, get on with it already.

I went and read Lucifer's profile and it says she's a masochist? Doesn't look like she's enjoying this at all.

The scene of the 3 servants dying retreads a lot of ground from ep2- Kanon fighting, Shannon barrier, attacked by the Ass Nee-Chans, Beatrice triggered by Shannons speech again. I was going to complain, but the way they died was new and made this all worth it.

Awesome that Genji and Ronove stepped in at the right moment, Beatrice needs to be taken down a peg or two. I remember Genji was created with the help of demons, so perhaps Ronove had a hand in that.

Oh and Kanon and Shannon were killed by Genji and still count as sacrifices. I take it to mean that the ceremony will still work if the humans kill each other or commit suicide. That would be more fun to watch than Beatrice kills everyone with magic.

Unless they have to be killed by magical beings, which Genji qualifies

Kumasawa knows magic. And she is Teacher. WHAT

Way back when I was starting ep 1, I took a wild guess and said Kumasawa = Beatrice. Apparently I was right all along! Sort of.

I'm sure the witches, demons and Battler stuck in Purgatory perceive the games occurring one after another in sequence. Thanks to some 'corrosion', Beatrice gets stronger and can summon more minions every game; Kumasawa/Teacher didn't awaken and died, but can return with enough magic around. With this logic, Beatrice probably was very weak in Ep1, and I'm still convinced there was a human killer back then at minimum.

A battle between witches. Teacher can somehow go and talk to Battler in the middle of the fight. It's like they're all sitting in front of a TV show of themselves and pausing from time to time to discuss it.

After having demons straight up killing humans, we now have summoned buildings. Beatrice got two towers that shoot ballista like machine guns (is this some mythological reference I don't know of?), and Teacher got the the Tower of Babel. This is insanity. I wonder how the people in the mansion will react to this.

At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if 10 more witches show up in ep4, Godzilla in ep5, Aliens in ep6, God in ep7, and all of them at once in ep8.

Japan really loves mashing up and using Western religious/legendary stuff in their games.

All these weapons and names, I wanted to say they are nonsense, but they should mean something that you guys know already

The fuck, Beatrice lost, what happens if she dies? What about the ceremony? What about Battler? Aren't there 5 more episodes?

Well, I already had a feeling this is another red herring. Beatrice can't die here, otherwise there won't even be a story left to tell.

This part at least proved that witches can be killed. Now I have to wonder what's next for Kumasawa, is Teacher going to awaken each episode, or it will just be Kumasawa from now on.

Finally we get to 6:00 in the morning.

Yes. One at each Comiket (August and December) from 2007 to 2010.

That part is like a JRPG final boss fight. Something this insane already happens in episode 3, imagine what the rest will bring.

Something just hit me. Beatrice said in red that there are 18 humans on the island. Now we know Kumasawa is most definitely NOT a human.
You can argue that Beatrice did not know about Kumasawa being Teacher. What about the furniture-servants then? This one is a bit vague, but from Beatrice's viewpoint, Genji, Kanon and Shannon are furniture and NOT human, taunting them multiple times about this.
Hence there are at least extra 3-4 people hanging around the island that haven't been seen yet.

Ok I remembered, she said there are no more than 18 humans on the island. This means that there are 14-18 humans. Though it's not 100% certain, the possibility of unknown person(s) is still there.

Back to the game... the adults stayed up all night. Inexplicably, none of them noticed what had happened outside.

In any case I'm confident about my argument that, with some characters being non-human, there is/are other people on the island.
Battler hasn't managed to think of a counterargument and screams at Beatrice. Surprisingly she didn't go all the way and got upset that Battler isn't playing along.
