I watched a video by the guy Shuckmeister about Giorno being not a Gary Stu character (his arguments were poor imo) but out of nowhere he also tangented about Jolyne being a Mary Sue. He argued that the morals of the world bend to her actions because ~~her removing the Kiss sticker from her boyfriend's tongue is portrayed as a moral right that she needs to do.~~ ~~The problem with such an argument being that her action being morally right is not shown in any way shape or form, and Hermes even looks at her disapprovingly for doing it.~~ It had been forever since I read SO but the moment he mentioned that I could still remember the scene and check that was he was saying was nonsense. Jotaro was basically the get out of shit free card for the Crusaders who were almost all really good. Giornos power and moral compass is what motivates the gang to actually move against the boss in the beginning, even if its Bruno who mostly carries that momentum afterwards. I'm not a huge fan of Giorno or Diavolo, but Part 5 is strong enough to compensate besides having a weaker final encounter. Felt he got the proper amount of time. Anusai got around the proper amount of time as well. He showed up late and while I liked him, wasn't a very dimensional character. Foo Fighters could have used some more time too. Also most of the stand fights weren't that memorable.
