Have you all played Avalon/Resistance?

I think I like it more than werewolf or secret hitler.

I'm going to work on transposing that game into a forum style game.

I think the way it fundamentally revolves around nominating a group of 2-5 people as opposed to settling on a single target for lynch could be really good for this community.

Who would be interested in helping with logistics on that setup?

Nobody will want to actually play it but I have come to realize that I like thinking about mafia and setups and meta and stuff more than actually playing so I enjoy the thought exercise

The Resistance game didn't work very well because there was just too much waiting for every phase of voting/missions. It was too slow.

I think Resistance would work best as a 1 night discord game.

Yeah I figured this. That's why I was open to ideas on how to adapt it

I got to play about six or seven full 10 player games of avalon and man that shit is so good.

I got vanilla blue literally every game after the first one where I was mordred. That mordred game was awesome though. I was "the new guy" in the group so it was the perfect role for me. Blue team was completely lost and on the last vote one guy impossibly pulled a winning team out of his ass so we immediately pegged him as merlin for the win.

Vanilla blue is fine but I really woulda liked percival or merlin at least once so I could learn how to play around those roles better.

One game when I was vanilla blue I solved the game on round 4 and put up a winning team, but it got shot down. Then the guy after me spent like 5 minutes stepping through all the logic that proved I was correct, and he put up the same exact team, and it went through and we won. Then the red team correctly called that the guy next to me was merlin. >_>

That's what I mean by I wish I had more experience with those roles so that I could have a better idea of how to consider them and not just be obvious vanilla.
