With all the streaming being decentralized and its own networks having their own streaming subscriptions... Is this the end of the "golden age" of streaming?

Netflix is definitely worth it. Every time I clear a show off of my list 2 or 3 new ones take its place. It feels like its imposssible to watch every decent to amazing show that they have on there. And they have a lot of movies that I like too. Id say that Netflix is better value than almost all the other streaming services

There's some decent stuff on Netflix, but it's price is inflated, it should be like 5.99/month to be honest, when disney+ comes out Netflix better bring its cost down.

No, it's overpriced and lacking in content. Once the other idiot companies release their services Netflix will lose all of its popular stuff.

Yes if you like quality drama and comedies. If all you do is watch reruns of futurama and scrubs probably not

I'm starting to feel torn on this myself. Considering giving Hulu a shot instead maybe.

Hulu is awesome, it's half the price and it's got wrasstlin every week on top of that the anime selection is better imo all the seasons of sword art and a bunch of DC animated movies.

Disney wont be 5.99 for long. Id say by 2022 it will be closer to 9.99.

For the amount of content on it, it's a yes from me. Terrific value for the price of a few coffees a month.

"Netflix has no content" is the new "50 channels and nothing to watch".

It has a lot of stuff obviously, but its kind of become the "this is easier than getting the DVDs out" way to watch the Office and Parks and Rec in my home. So I am kinda iffy if I want to pay $12 a month or whatever to not have to change discs once in a while.

I've enjoyed some of their original stuff over the years, though.

I've been converting over to just watching HBO go content. They have enough amazing shows that I could honestly cancel Netflix until stranger things 3 released and wouldn't care. Really into Deadwood right now.

I really don't like the lack of any sort of ratings system. Even a basic thumbs up/thumbs down would be better than what we've got now. I've wasted a lot of time on movies/shows that looked decent enough from the previews but ended up being hot garbage.

And yeah, I know I could look it up online but that's nowhere near as fast or easy as getting a representation of what the audience thought on the fly.

I only got Netflix because they were making Daredevil, Luke Cage, etc. Now that they are all cancelled, I am having to rethink my options. Doubly unfortunate, my options here in Australia are very limited.

It takes 5 seconds to type the name of a show into google and see the rotten tomatoes score. But youre right that they should have a rating system

Even if I didnt watch anything on it (which isnt the case, I find myself watching something on Netflix at least twice per week) it would still be worth it to me for the childrens content. My 5yo has grown up without commercials in his entertainment, to the point that when we watch traditional television (at someone elses house, or something) it takes a moment for him to understand what is happening when a commercial comes on.

There is a lot of great kids show content on there.

You mean nowhere near as fast or easy as seeing how some popular youtuber told people who didn't watch the movie to vote on the fly.
