I've never loved Chocolate Missile in this contest (though I still voted for it twice) and I don't love it now. I just don't think it's a song I can get into. It's not a bad song, but I just don't feel any sort of connection to it. The big climax at 1:30 comes the closest, but even that falls short.

Battle!!, like Chocolate Missile, is a song I've voted both for and against multiple times (in Battle!!'s case, it's alternated every round). There's more for more to grab onto here - lots of big sweeping strings and a playful/epic dichotomy that works really well. At first its length bothered me, but now I've gotten used to it.

If Chocolate Missile goes down here, my last below average song left will be eliminated. Here's hoping!

Match-up analysis:

Weakest match of the round by far. Both songs are really not as good as the rest of the competition, but Chocolate Missile is excusable; it may not be super good, but it has some redeeming qualities such as the fully-instrumentated sections. Meanwhile, Battle!! is a decent composition, with nothing technically "wrong" or "bad" about it (as opposed to Chocolate Missile, which had some missed upportunities), but it's still just not retirement-worthy, in my opinion. EXSPHERE is a special case in terms of it being a love-it-or-hate-it kind of song, and Board 8 loves Hymmnos so it's expected. Battle!!, however, is one of those songs I'd enjoy listening in-game or at certain moods, but it doesn't go beyond that.

I still haven't checked who won this, but I just had a hot chocolate 40 minutes ago, so I hope this doesn't count as biased voting, lol.
