There's an art to picking your words that makes what you're saying sound less harsh, or just harsh enough without crossing a line where it comes off as malicious or hurtful. Heck I can jump in tone from sentence to sentence if I really want to. The line between condescending and casual is often in just putting a simple "ya know" or "gonna" or "whatever" or whatever in the sentence. --- No problem!
