decided to check r/conservative for the lulz.

This is actually huge. Reddit has essentially officially declared war on Trump and Republicans.

They went after the largest Trump supporting group on the Internet. This is big. I cant (can) believe they had the balls to do it. They dont understand what they got themselves into.

This is a declaration of war. Don't look at it as anything else.

It's time, Trump. We need you to do something about this.

Well I guess freedom is over.

The government needs to get involved with this immediately. I wish Trump would make more of an effort to unite the country again, but i'm not sure if that is even possible with these people...

Here will be next, mark my words.

First they came for the alt right, but I was not alt right, so I did nothing.

Then they came for the_Donald, but I was not a Trump supporter, so I did nothing.

Then they came for the libertarians, but I was not a libertarian, so I did nothing.

Then they came for me, and there was no one to defend me.

^A bunch of people who either are ignorant or are supportive of the things t_d did that got them in this situation.

So, let me re-think this one.

Basically, bottom line: Someone or a group of people threatened a person or party of people and the mods on The_Donald did nothing to act on it? Is that basically the gist of this?

Unfortunately, I think there were a lot of innocent people caught up in the cross fire with this decision. I think that's what the problem is here. At the end of the day, it's their website and they have to protect themselves from lawsuit, so I can understand it from that aspect.

I do understand the frustration from the innocent part of the userbase that has done nothing wrong though.

Mods should've enforced the rules.

I manage a discord server for a bunch of reddit mods who mod various subs. They are kinda freaking out lol. Mostly because of how it'll spill over to other sub. When a large sub like this is banned/quarantined the users tend to brigade in mass a bunch of other subs.

It's going to be hell to deal with for a few weeks.

This effort to silence conservative outlets needs to be investigated. We need government control in social media, for sure. Suckerberg abused the platform and its become a safe space where people are punished for posting REAL news that the Mainstream media wants kept quiet.
