It took Obama almost eight years to close Guantanamo. A major issue for me at least. Still better than any Republican to be fair. And Obama never claimed to be some sort of socialist or anti establishment. What would you have her do? Running for office seems like a natural thing to do if you want to actually affect the system. So, in your eyes, how do you avoid being a do-nothing? She can start by giving these people some beds. The so-called empty parking lot was in fact a roadway leading towards the Tornillo Border Patrol station, where thousands of migrant children were housed in a tent city. It wasnt an empty parking lot; its an entrance and we [media and protesters] werent allowed to go past that, Aguirre told us. Better bust out those tears, right It's not like she's the only politician taking a photo op opportunity. That's what they do. We're talking about someone who was raised upper middle class who, at least for a while, pretended to be raised in the ghetto. This is not her first time pinning for this sort of thing. The claim made that I was responding to was on the historical policy of the US government on family separations and child detention.
