The "taking a purchase away from the creators" excuse doesn't work when there's no legal way for the person to buy the product to begin with. I'd gladly pay $15-20 to play Glover again if I could (since I fucking loved that game) but if there are no used copies available and it's never re-released digitally, then I can't do that. I'd gladly pay an anime streaming service $10 a month to watch the latest Pretty Cure series if I could, but since Toei doesn't license the show to anyone outside of Japan, then I can't do that. So piracy is literally the only option in these situations. Umbreon posted...
