This reminded me so much of Keesha's Birthday - it involved practically the entire house at one point or another, lasted over an hour, imploded an alliance too big for its own good, and culminated in the house coming together for something (in this case, an eviction vote, because nobody wants to be the fall guy from THIS). It's not as legendary as THAT episode, mind you - and what is? - but it might be close enough to my #2 BB fight now.

Was glorious. And I LOVED Julie's reaction to it all. She understands the game so much better than she used to!

Right, and we haven't had one yet. Last year, there was only one also, thanks to Kaitlyn's puzzle flop forcing them to change plans. Perhaps they liked that and only wrote one into the plans this year? (I much prefer two, as a DE is can't-miss-TV for me).

They schedule the show to account for sixteen evictions now, yes. By having a day one eviction AND a week one eviction, they'll likely only have the single double-eviction night later in the season. This also means they'll have to have a second battle back to make up the numbers, as they usually do.

Personally I'm hoping for a season with 0 battle backs to come around soon. They're fine every now and then but every year is just... no.

They could make it like, 2 to 3 weeks shorter. A lot of the problem with longer seasons is the bloated casts, which leads to long periods at the beginning with stagnant gameplay (unless you have a situation like BB20, where even though all the athletic, young, pretty people were aligned, the outsiders could still win HoHs occasionally).

It used to be around 80 days and was consistently better at that point in time. Drama happened sooner, sometimes even in week 1.

The reason why they don't cast as many people who are older, married, and/or have a different lifestyle is because those people can't afford to quit their job, and possibly ruin their career, to be locked in a house for over three months with a 1/16 chance of winning $500,000 and a 7/8 chance of getting nothing but compensatory pay. It's not worth it. Those people show no interest in the show.

There's also that, for some inexplicable reason, CBS still thinks that people watch Big Brother to see who hooks up, so they want more young and/or single people to fulfill that purpose. It is due to this that I have become more of a transient viewer, only caring when things get interesting. They need to put those people seeking hookups on Lust Island (why did they feel the need to renew that shit?) and cast more fans of the show. Look at what that did for Survivor.

They can just as easily fill the 99 days by having a "twistless" season layout-wise.

If evictions start Day 15, and the only double-eviction week is the final 5/final 4 week, then the 14th eviction is Day 99.

The leaked video, which was NOT officially on the feeds (hence why CBS insisted on nuking it, but I got my copy), mostly focused on the people listening in for a good half-hour. It was a refreshing kind of storytelling.
