Parents owe it to kids to take care of us for as long as we're alive. They brought us into this world against our will.

Look at it this way. You have the option of bringing a child into this world right now... there's a very real possibility that this child won't want to spend their life being wagecucked and slaving away for someone else their whole life. Sure, most of them will be fine with it - as is apparent in modern society - but just what if they are one of the chosen few who doesn't want to live like that?
The decisions a potential parent can make are:
A) Don't have the kid.
B) Have the kid, but the onus is on me to support it if they don't want to spend their life wagecucking.
C) Have the kid, but decide that if they don't wanna wagecuck, just throw them to the curb and let them starve to death.
Option C is the most popular one in today's society.

You totally can choose to not work, but the responsibility of that choice is on you, not anyone else. Just like any other decision you make in life, you make a bad call and you live with the results, same as if you make a good one.

People have a right to ignore you and let you survive off of society's scrap/waste food and resources if you choose not to participate in work and make a living for yourself.

Nobody is obligated to provide you SQUAT, you earn all of it yourself.

You want a nice house, quality food, clean water, internet, entertainment, etc.

EARN it the legitimate way, or you get NOTHING!

Lol nope. If any hypothetical kid of mine shows any signs of becoming a NEET, they WILL either
1) Get a job and help around the house, failing that...
2) Join any branch of the military, failing that...
3) GTFO out of the house once they're legal adults because I'm not sacrificing my retirement years for them.

That said, you can't complain about how your kids turn out if you fail on that front.

If you don't want to work and earn the things you want, much less need, like the vast majority of humanity on earth through out time in some form or another, that is being lazy and unproductive. Baring of course a legit disablement.

I can't speak for every case of every person, but I don't think the vast majority of people that work are still destitute and homeless. Even for people that live with their parents into later in life if they are still working and making a savings so at some point they can be independent, aren't homeless and destitute.

I'm not saying that every person has to rush out at 18 and be independent. I either had a summer job or part time job since I was 16 and I still didn't move out till I was 20 because I wanted to get my car paid off so I wouldn't have that expense once I was independent.

There should be anti-homelessness programs but if someone owns and pays for a house they have to be allowed to decide who gets to come and go.
