Is Ultra Despair Girls worth ~5? I've heard pretty mixed things about it. I know it's very different gameplay wise, but is the story good/connected?

Also Nonary Games for 5 and Zero Time for 3, or bundled for ~6. I'd rather play them on portables, but that's a very tempting price to get shiny HD versions. With voice acting, IIRC?

It's got problems. 100% worth it at that price, but still. Every version is better than the Vita version due to the controls.

It's totally fine on PC
Maybe it sucked on Vita due to controls or something idk
But I didn't see any major issue turning it into "DOGSHIT!!" that people claim it is
It's a solid 6.5-7 game that is perfect for people who just want "more Danganronpa"

played it on the vita.
the gameplay is meh. not bad, but not good.
the story is just more dangan ronpa goodness. i liked it.

Well, for starters, a good chunk of the characters in ZTD were in 999/VLR. 999 is effectively a stand-alone game. VLR and ZTD were supposed to be closely connected and wrap up everything, but people will give you different opinions on that.

I can't possibly comment on the second question. That is truly up to you.

Third I would guess through the weekend at the very least.

Very interrelated. I can't imagine playing them out of order. Even ignoring the spoilers, the plot is confusing enough as is if you play the games in order.

Maybe? I sure did, because I thought the first two are amazing.

i'm sort of tempted but i'm like, really on the fence. i haven't played many real visual novels but i like zero escape/danganronpa/phoenix wright type stuff. but the real-life graphics and videos thing seems so strange to me. i'm a weeb, i need my anime sprites.

I think it's the best science game, but I wouldn't say that it has the mass appeal that Steins Gate has due to the content and themes. Also think a lot of people wouldn't necessarily like or appreciate certain aspects of the direction it goes in/the endings.

Like, SG is to Higurashi as CC is to Umineko if that makes sense? Maybe not to that extreme, but the general idea is kind of similar so I wouldn't necessarily recommend it casually.

Sounds interesting enough, I like SG, Higurashi and Umineko well enough. (Higurashi is probably my least favorite but still fine). I ended up picking it up, i'll have to see how i feel about the endings when i get to them

The killer should be Ace. Junpei, Seven, and Lotus did not check his, Santa's, or Clover's pulses. He was either playing dead or used Soporil (or whatever it was called) on himself before killing everyone else off.

Yeah that makes sense, at least opportunity wise. Not sure why he'd go to the trouble since he (essentially) killed everyone else by that point, presumably the three left would be together, and they wouldn't trust someone they thought was dead, but I guess the dude is kinda nuts so there's that.

Looking at the scene of his death, he has no visible wound and none of the blood can be seen on him, just under him so that much checks out, but the same was true for Santa and Clover so I didn't think much of it.

Nope. Though I do know it's the famous game that beat Chester in 2013.

I bought 1 and 2 with the sale, played through all of 1 this past weekend -- basically did nothing but. Finished chapter 1 of the sequel last night. I think I may have inadvertently spoiled myself on it, though. =x

Luna ending had me weeping like a damn baby. Kind of shocked how hard that hit me in a story where I already knew there'd be a "happier" and "truer" ending.
