Bad_Mojo 08/19/19 11:36:04 PM #1:	Its officialConstantin Films is working on a reboot of the Resident Evil franchise from 47 Meters Downs Johannes Roberts. Roberts spoke with Screen Rant promoting 47 Meters Down: Uncaged and confirmed that a reboot of the film franchise based on the video games is in development. We are in active development of that at the moment, Roberts said. I pitched them a take, and they really loved it. So, we are just gearing up on that as we speak, really. Im in the office all the time there. The last entry of the franchise as Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, which released in January of 2017. Roberts said that the new film will go back to the horror elements of the video game series. So, yeah, its great, he said. Its gonna be super scary. Its super, super scary. And its just getting back to the roots of the game. I think, at the moment, Im not allowed to say much more than that. But its gonna be a lot of fun. Darmik 08/20/19 12:03:47 AM #9:	They should adapt Resident Evil 7 and add references to the other stories that hint at a larger universe. It's best to distance themselves from Umbrella and Racoon City to start off with and show that they're truly horror now. I have learned that Netflix is developing a scripted series based on the hit action horror franchise. I hear the series will be a Netflix global original. German production and distribution company Constantin Film, which is behind the Resident Evil movies loosely based on the Capcom video game series, is the studio. Search is underway for a showrunner to shepherd the adaptation. No one is commenting but I hear the plan is for the series to expand the Resident Evil universe and deepen the exiting mythology. I hear the series will keep the basic premise, which also served as a setup for the movie franchise. The drama series will explore the dark inner workings of the Umbrella Corporation and the new world order caused by the outbreak of the T-virus. While the project is in early stages, the series is expected to incorporate all of Resident Evils signature elements, including action sequences and easter eggs. Make it the actual Bravo team investigation. Adjust slowly what you need (like no giant snake/plant) but keep the focus on a huge as mansion with puzzles and shit and make it a grim survival movie. Id be down with that.
