I took a job in a city about 3hrs away from my hometown just because I knew it would be an easy job and I could either take it or get laid off (and I took a raise too).

Well basically my job requires about 10hrs a week of actual work, I do it from home, and I have limited interaction with people.

I'm not really a drinker anymore so getting out and meeting folks that way doesnt seem all that fun, and I don't really feel like fucking with tinder etc.

I usually go back to my hometown on weekends and kick it with a couple friends but I don't really like driving that much every weekend.

So I guess I finally understand when people say shit on here about isolation sucking.

Yeah. And online shit isn't a good substitution. I feel pity for people who hate society as a full and actually trick themselves into thinking seclusion is the better or easier route.

I think most of them just WANT to believe that because anxiety makes dealing with people extra work. You gotta make effort to
eventually enjoy socializing.
