Literally no excuse? What if I have a superstitious fear of the number 89 and believe that buying anything with this unlucky number will give me a curse? Huh, what now?

It is NZ$43.31 here because they decided only a single region would have a good sale.

I bought it. I love rhythm games, but not normally a fan of ones that use a standard controller. This one is pretty good despite that. Easily worth the 89 gold coins.

How long does it last? Maybe I'll just split my games between two accounts on yet another system.

After looking up gameplay I think the game is on sale because nobody will buy it as they are afraid of ruining their already flimsy joycons.

Nifty. Just grabbed it for 113 out of the 131 points I had lying around, so I didn't even need to blow the whole dollar they wanted (Canadian prices). Guess I'll see if it's any good.

I believe the coins do expire, so you should try to use them more often. There's really no reason to hoard them, given that the rewards system they've got now is pretty weak. Using them to reduce the prices of digital purchases is likely to be your best bet.

It's 7 gigs and my internet is crap, is that a good enough reason to not get it?

It's reasonably entertaining. It'd be a lot easier to wrap my head around the stick notes if the sticks were either both on top or both below the buttons, since having to think about moving my thumbs in different directions based on which side the note is on is messing me up a lot. It also tries to connect to the internet pretty frequently to upload scores to leaderboards, which gets really annoying if you're not connected and have to go through the error message. Nothing breaks if you choose not to try connecting, but it takes an obnoxious amount of time. The main mode is this odd arcade-style one that takes you through three stages, each of which has a different set of songs that's only available on that stage, then you get a "thanks for playing" screen after you finish all three. That, to me, seems like it was lifted directly from an arcade version with no modifications, which is a weird fit for a home console game.

Problems aside, it's a straightforward rhythm game. You've got a few different kinds of markers that correspond to different actions, coming down different lanes that correspond to different buttons, and you have to do those actions in time to the beat. It seems like it's got a decently high skill ceiling, but I doubt I'll get invested enough in it to ever approach it. I don't regret spending a whole dollar on it, but it's nothing particularly special.
