Bro's it's FF8, but it looks slightly better and it has cheats to help you get though ther parts where you draw magic

Someone who is clearly trying too hard. Sometimes I think people get caught up trying to be too elaborate and forget that it actually needs to flow easily for the reader.

The ones in final fantasy 7 didn't and theyre the same ones 8 has. (3x showed, god mode, no encounters)

9 had some additional ones like max gil and max ap that did disable trophies, but it's unknown if these ones are in 8 or not

I'd say you already played the best parts. The game takes a big dive in quality after Disc 1

But the end of disc 2 is the best part of the game

Disc 2 in general is the best disc, really.

Are there any non-masturbatory reviews out there that read a bit better than this? I just want to know whether it's worth looking at after not being taken with the demo however many years ago that was.

I'm having alot of fun with it so far. Someone got the plat a few hours after release. Even with turning all the enhancements on at once this still seems impossible

I never played FFVIII so I was excited for this but the HD character models on fuzzy PS1 backgrounds is really turning me off in all of the videos I've seen.

Wish I could see a review from someone going in blind instead of comparing to the original.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they didn't touch the backgrounds at all.

The early scene where you are in the classroom was kind of funny, as Squall, Seifer and like two other students are high res sprites and the rest are motionless bits of the background. I never realized they had people as part of the pre rendered backgrounds in the original.

Yeah, if the characters don't move at all during a scene, they're probably just part of the background. The contrast is kind of startling with the upgraded character models now.

Wow yikes, I went to check out what this was all about and saw the Mostly Negative (39%) rating on Steam. That's pretty brutal!
